Product Engineer - Wix Payments

About the role

The Wix Payments team is looking for a Product Engineer in Kyiv who takes end-to-end ownership of payment products, from shaping product decisions to delivering them through frontend development. The role covers the client-facing experience, the payment flows used by millions of people across dozens of markets, and the APIs and services behind them, while helping users stay compliant with complex regulations across countries. AI is used as part of the workflow to explore ideas, prototype and write code.

Key responsibilities

• Own payment products from idea to production, including product thinking, UX, the client and the APIs behind them.
• Decide how things should work, not just how they are built, together with product managers and designers.
• Build payment flows used by millions of people across dozens of markets, handling failures and edge cases with scalable components and APIs.
• Use AI to explore ideas, prototype and write code, keeping high quality standards for shipped code.
• Work with TypeScript, React, Node.js, cloud and CI/CD, and adopt new tools as they emerge.

Required profile

• 3+ years as a software engineer, with real ownership of things running in production.
• Deep frontend expertise and the drive to work outside it.
• Solid design skills: components, state, APIs and data flows that scale with the product.
• Experience working with AI tools and good judgment about what they produce.
• Care about correctness, since a bug in payments means someone's money.
• Paid experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• TypeScript and React
• Node.js
• Cloud infrastructure and CI/CD
