PHP Developer – Payments Backend (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join our Payments team and build scalable, high‑load backend solutions. You will work on payment infrastructure, integrate multiple providers and deliver reliable services that directly impact the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain internal services and new features for the payment ecosystem.
• Support and improve existing functionality while handling critical user paths.
• Integrate and optimise connections with external payment providers.
• Collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth deployments and automated pipelines.
• Apply clean architecture, modular monolith design and Domain‑Driven Design where it adds value.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• 2+ years of professional PHP experience (PHP 8.3+).
• Strong English communication (minimum B1 level).
• Hands‑on experience with Laravel (or Yii2/Symfony) and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with caches, queues (Redis, PostgreSQL, MariaDB) and Docker.
• Commitment to writing tests and reducing legacy code.
