Information Management Officer (Kyiv)

About the role

IOM, a United Nations Related Organization, is recruiting an Information Management Officer in Kyiv, Ukraine. The post is supervised by the Deputy Chief of Mission and the Programme Support Officer (Response, Resilience and Recovery), and works closely with programme units, support units, the Regional Office and Headquarters. The officer manages and coordinates information management activities for the USG serve allocation project and the Country Office portfolio.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in Information Management, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or a related field with two years of relevant experience; or university degree with four years of experience.
• Fluent English (oral and written); working knowledge of another official UN language is an advantage.
• Experience coordinating information flows and data management, including collecting, storing, verifying, validating, processing and analysing data to produce information products.
• Experience in emergency and recovery humanitarian operations and familiarity with humanitarian cluster systems, CBPF, technical guidelines, standards and indicators.
• Experience in information management, data analytics, database management, data governance and cybersecurity principles.
• Prior experience with IOM or the UN system is an advantage.

Required skills

• Database application development and management.
• Modern information management and digital tools: Azure SQL, Dataverse, Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Microsoft Fabric, SharePoint Online, enterprise content management systems and cloud data platforms.
• Advanced data visualisation and information design.
• Data collection methodologies, qualitative and quantitative analysis, and producing high-quality reports.
• Formulating IM technical requirements and operating procedures, and delivering technical training.
