Associate Welfare Officer (P-2) – Short‑Term

About the role

The Associate Welfare Officer (P-2) provides psychosocial support and case management for participants in the ICC Protection Programme. Working from the Victims and Witnesses Section in Kiev, the incumbent assists victims and witnesses in preparation for permanent relocation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide psychosocial support to protection programme participants in a fully‑coordinated manner.
• Implement, monitor and report on individual management plans for each participant.
• Prepare participants for permanent relocation to third countries, ensuring completeness of case records.
• Coordinate transfers to the place of permanent relocation and liaise with relevant authorities in receiving countries.
• Organise training, skills development, formal education and practical assistance to facilitate successful relocation.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments under the guidance of the Headquarters Psychologist.

Required profile

• Works under the direct supervision of the Situational Team Leader.
• Ability to deliver psychosocial support to vulnerable individuals.
• Experience in managing case files and implementing individualized plans.
• Strong coordination skills for liaising with authorities and service providers.
• Capacity to work in a multicultural, high‑pressure environment.
