Senior Java (+Kotlin NodeJS) Developer

About the role

We are looking for a talented Senior Java Developer to join our partner’s team and work on a modern software solution in the travel and tourism industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong Java engineer who enjoys working with modern technologies, distributed systems, and international teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend solutions based on modern software development practices, cloud platforms, and microservice architecture.
• Participate in application architecture and solution design.
• Take part in architecture and code reviews.
• Design and implement unit, integration, functional, and other types of tests.
• Develop highly testable, scalable, performant, and maintainable code.
• Work with Agile methodologies and participate in Scrum activities.
• Collaborate closely with PMs, engineers, architects, QA, and other stakeholders.
• Communicate directly with the client daily to clarify requirements and discuss technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical documentation and feature design.
• Troubleshoot, profile, debug, and optimize applications.
• Participate in refactoring and continuous improvement of development processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of commercial software development experience.
• At least 3 years of strong commercial experience with Java.
• Strong knowledge of OOP, SOLID, DDD, TDD/BDD, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
• Experience with high‑performance and high‑load systems.
• Ability to communicate directly with international clients in English (Upper‑Intermediate B2+ or higher).
