Senior Full Stack Developer - Portfolio Management System

About the role

DXC Luxoft is looking for an experienced Software Developer to modernize a mission-critical Portfolio Management System (PMS) used by investment professionals across front-office investment functions. The goal is to transform a mature WPF-based desktop platform into a modern, scalable, high-performance application ecosystem, covering UI modernization, platform upgrades, API development, performance optimization, architecture simplification, technical debt reduction and AI-enabled user experiences. The role suits engineers with experience in buy-side portfolio, order, execution, risk or investment analytics platforms, working across desktop, web, service, integration and data layers. It is remote, relocation-friendly and open to candidates in Ukraine.

Key responsibilities

• Upgrade and modernize existing .NET, WPF and DevExpress applications, refactor legacy components and reduce technical debt while preserving front-office workflows
• Investigate and fix freezing, slow response, memory leaks and crashes, and profile and optimize desktop, server, database and integration components
• Simplify architecture by reducing reliance on legacy SOA and middleware, and design simpler service-oriented and API-first components
• Design secure RESTful APIs and integrations with trading, risk, reporting and analytics systems, with authentication, authorization, auditing and observability
• Build an AI-powered prompt/chat experience using enterprise LLMs, with prompt orchestration, tool calling, retrieval, guardrails and workflow automation
• Maintain rich desktop capabilities and introduce web-based applications, applying automated testing, code review, secure development and CI/CD

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications
• Buy-side investment technology experience, such as PMS, OMS, EMS, front-office trading apps or fixed income, equities, FX, derivatives, swaps, options, TRS or CDS workflows
• Experience building both web and rich desktop applications
• English at C1 Advanced level
