Protection Supervisor – Case Management (Rule of Law)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Protection Supervisor to lead case management services within its Rule of Law program in Kyiv. Reporting to the Protection Case Management Manager, you will provide technical supervision, quality assurance, and capacity strengthening for IRC staff and partner organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide individual supervision and technical support throughout the case management process.
• Conduct reflective supervision, mentoring, and coaching for caseworkers.
• Review case files in PCMIMS+ and approve case closures.
• Support complex and high‑risk cases, including case conferences and safety planning.
• Monitor caseloads and recommend redistribution as needed.
• Mentor and train partner organizations through field visits, shadowing, and practical feedback.
• Monitor data quality, prepare supervision reports, and contribute to SOP and tool improvement.
• Promote staff wellbeing, safeguarding, duty of care, and IRC values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Law, Human Rights, International Development or related field (Master’s degree advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years of protection case management experience, including supervision or coaching.
• Humanitarian protection experience and partner capacity‑strengthening experience are assets.
• Fluency in Ukrainian required; working knowledge of English is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital case management systems (PCMIMS+, Primero, CommCare).
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Teams, and SharePoint.
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection principles.
