Machine Learning Intern

About the role

Sigma Software is seeking a motivated Machine Learning Intern to join its remote team. This full‑time internship offers hands‑on experience with modern AI technologies, including generative AI and large language models, while working on real engineering tasks alongside experienced engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and improving AI/ML solutions and applications.
• Work with machine‑learning models, datasets, and experimentation pipelines.
• Support implementation and testing of generative AI and LLM‑based features.
• Participate in data preprocessing, model evaluation, and optimization activities.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate AI capabilities into products.
• Contribute to research, prototyping, and documentation of AI technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code and take part in code reviews.

Required profile

• Strong motivation to build a career in AI/ML.
• Curious, proactive mindset with quick learning ability.
• Good communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
• Upper‑intermediate or higher level of English.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Fundamental knowledge of machine learning and core AI concepts.
• Basic understanding of large language models and generative AI.
• Familiarity with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or a similar ML framework.
• Experience with Git version control and basic Docker usage.
• Basic SQL knowledge.
