Founding Talent Associate

About the role

Occam is an early‑stage, well‑funded European MilTech startup building advanced defence technology. As a Founding Talent Associate you will work directly with the CEO and senior operators to solve one of the most critical challenges for the company – attracting exceptional talent in Ukraine.

Key responsibilities

• Learn how to find and attract exceptional people for a deep‑tech defence company.
• Build and maintain relationships across the Ukrainian MilTech talent market, including engineers, technical specialists, defence professionals and veterans.
• Spend time in the market meeting candidates in person, attending events and identifying strong talent pools.
• Take ownership of the full recruitment cycle, from identifying prospects to helping them join the team.
• Design and test innovative sourcing approaches using relationships, technology, AI, social media and automation.

Required profile

• Ambitious, intelligent, sociable and hungry to learn.
• Comfortable talking to strangers, building relationships and navigating an environment without a perfect playbook.
• Curious about technology, comfortable with AI and interested in deep‑tech, startups or defence.
• Has built, organised, started or taught themselves something out of personal motivation.
