Director, Ukraine Operations

About the role

The Director, Ukraine Operations will lead all operational activities for Palisade Bergschrund’s Ukraine‑facing projects. Based in Kyiv, this full‑time position oversees planning, coordination and execution of cross‑border engagements, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget and in full compliance with relevant regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage end‑to‑end operational plans for Ukraine‑related initiatives.
• Lead, mentor and coordinate cross‑functional teams across government, industry and field settings.
• Monitor performance metrics, optimise processes and allocate resources efficiently.
• Manage budgets, track expenditures and ensure financial compliance.
• Provide analytical insights to support strategic decision‑making.
• Maintain high levels of client service and support business‑development activities.

Required profile

• Ukrainian national preferred; non‑nationals with sustained in‑country experience also considered.
• 6–10 years of experience in business development, investment, advisory or operational roles, preferably with exposure to Ukraine’s defence sector or public institutions.
• Strong judgment for operating in complex environments and ability to move between government, industry and field contexts.
• Proven relationship‑building skills and ability to earn trust over time.
