WASH Program Manager

About the role

The WASH Program Manager will provide overall managerial and technical support to all water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) projects operating from the South Area Office. This role ensures high‑quality implementation of WASH activities across communities, health‑care facilities and schools, while representing the organization to partners and coordination bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee the implementation of WASH project activities in the South Area.
• Work closely with the programme implementation team to maintain programme quality and integration.
• Represent the country office to WASH partners at the South Area level and participate in sub‑cluster and national coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with other sector staff and field teams to promote WASH integration and advocacy.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and respond to emergencies as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing WASH programmes or similar development projects.
• Strong understanding of WASH standards, community engagement and institutional coordination.
• Ability to work effectively with partners, donors and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
