Finance Officer – Dnipro, Ukraine

About the role

The Finance Officer will manage daily financial operations for NRC Ukraine in Dnipro, ensuring compliance with the organisation’s Financial Handbook, donor requirements and Ukrainian regulations. The role supports programme staff, partners and suppliers while maintaining accurate records and timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process payments to contractors, suppliers and other expenditures, verifying vouchers and supporting documents against NRC standards.
• Perform daily bookkeeping using the Agresso accounting system and record budget allocations, accounting codes and VAT.
• Maintain cash and bank records, ensure sufficient cash balances and update cash‑books daily.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and assist partners with paperwork review and spot‑checking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in an INGO or commercial setting.
• Fluent in English and Ukrainian (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of Ukrainian tax legislation and experience working with local financial institutions.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using the Agresso accounting system.
