UAS Integration & Acceptance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on UAS Integration & Acceptance Engineer to ensure that incoming drones from OEM partners are fit to fly, fully configured, and ready for pilot operations. The role bridges OEM supply, engineering, testing, and flight teams in a fast‑moving defence‑tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Run structured acceptance checks on arriving UAS platforms, inspecting airframes, wiring, connectors, batteries, payload interfaces and control systems.
• Document acceptance status, configure drones for integration with company systems, and apply approved software/firmware updates.
• Conduct pre‑flight functional tests, support ground testing, and confirm flight readiness before handover.
• Log quality issues, capture defect evidence, and maintain the OEM quality tracker for recurring problems.
• Collaborate with engineering and supplier teams to investigate root causes and track fixes to closure.
• Hand over drones to pilots with complete documentation, configuration notes, and clear status information.
• Maintain accurate records, Kanban board updates, labeling, tagging and inventory control.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with drones, UAVs, UAS platforms, robotics, electronics or aviation systems.
• Strong practical skills in inspection, troubleshooting, configuration and repair.
• Experience with structured checks, acceptance testing or quality‑control processes.
• Good understanding of flight‑readiness criteria and equipment integration.
