Field Service Engineer - Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration

About the role

GEA is looking for a Field Service Engineer in Kiev to maintain, troubleshoot and commission high-performance industrial ammonia refrigeration equipment using screw and reciprocating compressor technology. The role involves on-site work at customer sites, with about 80% of working time spent travelling.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out technical inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs of industrial ammonia refrigeration installations
• Supervise installation and perform commissioning of new equipment
• Prepare technical reports, spare parts lists and preventive maintenance schedules
• Provide technical advice to customers remotely and on site
• Deliver basic operator training on system operation and preventive maintenance
• Follow QHSE standards, GEA safety policies and procedural guidelines

Required profile

• Technical or engineering degree from an accredited university or college
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience servicing industrial equipment
• Category B driving licence and willingness to travel frequently across Ukraine
• English at A2-B1 level

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting technical documentation such as manuals, schematics and engineering drawings
• Computer skills with solid MS Office proficiency
