Statutory Accountant (German Speaker) – Ukraine

About the role

A boutique accounting and financial services firm is looking for an ambitious Statutory Accountant to join its team in Ukraine. You will support the financial department across several European countries and take part in audit processes and year-end closings.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review all statutory work in your allocated portfolio
• Prepare monthly tasks such as flux analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
• Analyse accounts monthly to spot unusual or irregular transactions and recommend resolutions
• Guide other statutory accountants and help mentor them to meet client deadlines
• Prepare year-end close activities, including US-to-local GAAP reconciliations and local GAAP financial statements
• Act as key figure for quarterly and year-end audits and main contact with auditors for the PBC list
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting and finance projects

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting
• Fluency in English and German, written and spoken
• Good knowledge of accounting principles
• Ability to organise large amounts of data, work under pressure and meet deadlines, and prioritise multiple tasks
• Willingness to travel according to client and job requirements

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills
• Good MS Office skills
• SAP ERP knowledge is required
• Knowledge of the SSC environment is an asset
