Software Engineer – High‑Load Distributed Systems

About the role

Playtech’s Live Unit is looking for a proactive Software Engineer to design and develop high‑load distributed systems that power live dealer gaming experiences. You will work on core gaming logic, platform infrastructure and help ensure the reliability of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop high‑load distributed systems capable of handling large volumes of data and requests.
• Work on gaming logic and platform infrastructure, optimizing performance and scalability.
• Monitor system performance, ensure reliability and implement resiliency measures.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers and other engineers to align technical solutions with business goals.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience with Java Core (17+) and the Spring ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, resiliency, caching and load balancing.
• Hands‑on experience with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of microservice architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
• Higher education in IT or Computer Science and intermediate‑plus English proficiency.
