Senior Android Engineer – Medical Apps (Kotlin/Java)

About the role

We are looking for a self‑motivated Senior Android Engineer to design, build, and deliver medical‑grade Android applications and SDKs. The role focuses on internationalization, localization, and regulatory readiness for multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Android applications using Java, Kotlin, and Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and technology groups to define, design, and ship new capabilities.
• Translate customer and market needs into secure, efficient mobile solutions.
• Build the next‑generation cloud‑based mobile platform supporting future patient‑ and device‑centric products.
• Scope work, break down modules, estimate effort, and work closely with program management.
• Present concepts and solutions to customers, partners, and leadership.
• Write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Engage in daily triage meetings across US/MX time zones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of native Android development experience.
• Proven experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Android UI design principles and patterns.
• Experience with web services, cloud APIs, and wireless communication technologies.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and create prototypes.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Experience with Agile development preferred.
• Prior involvement in FCC/FDA‑regulated product launches is a plus.
