About the role
The Protection Facilitator provides psycho‑social support to women and girls affected by or at risk of gender‑based violence. Working within Women and Girls Safe Spaces and through community outreach, the role promotes emotional wellbeing, social cohesion and empowerment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver structured and non‑structured psychosocial activities tailored to women and girls at heightened risk of GBV.
- Facilitate peer support groups, creative workshops and awareness‑raising sessions in safe spaces and mobile settings.
- Support participants in developing coping strategies, emotional self‑regulation and strengthening social networks.
- Ensure all interventions comply with IRC standards and inter‑agency MHPSS guidelines.
- Document activities, monitor outcomes and contribute to program learning.
Required profile
- Experience delivering non‑clinical psychosocial support to vulnerable populations.
- Knowledge of gender‑based violence dynamics and protection principles.
- Ability to design participatory, creative activities for diverse groups.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills in English.
- Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.
