Project Manager – Electoral Preparedness & Integrity (Ukraine)

About the role

International IDEA is seeking a Project Manager to lead the design, planning and implementation of projects that strengthen electoral preparedness and integrity in Ukraine. Based in Kyiv, you will work within a multidisciplinary team to support democratic resilience and institutional reform.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate assigned projects within the Ukraine programme portfolio, covering thematic areas such as electoral assistance, ICT and cybersecurity, voter education, strategic communication and political finance.
• Lead the full project cycle – design, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning – ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery of results.
• Collaborate closely with national partners including the Central Election Commission, the Verkhovna Rada and civil‑society organisations.
• Prepare project documentation, budgets, reports and risk assessments in line with International IDEA standards.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, capacity building and the development of tools that enhance electoral integrity.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in project management, preferably in democratic governance, electoral processes or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government institutions, international donors and civil‑society stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with a results‑oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an advantage.
