Project Assistant – Transition & Recovery

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Assistant to support the implementation of projects and activities within the Transition and Recovery Unit in Ukraine.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the overall implementation of the Transition and Recovery Unit’s projects and activities.
• Support project specialists with regular reporting, briefing notes, statistical tables and presentations.
• Assist in contracting partners and procurement of goods and services.
• Help manage budget‑related information and maintain close cooperation with other units.
• Provide logistical support for meetings, trainings, visits and other events.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least four years relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with two years experience.
• Experience working with authorities, civil society and vulnerable populations, including IDPs and refugees.
• Proven written and spoken communication skills in English and Ukrainian; Russian when needed.
• Knowledge of emergency and recovery response in Ukraine is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Teams).
