Pharmacist – Humanitarian Health Program

About the role

The Pharmacist will ensure the intermediate pharmacy operates in compliance with IRC and government regulations at the health program site. Responsibilities include coordinating monthly procurement of medicines and medical supplies, maintaining adequate stocks for IRC MHPSS mobile teams, facilitating procurement for vulnerable clients, and supporting partners in pharmaceutical product management.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and maintain the pharmacy in line with IRC and government regulations for handling medicines.
• Coordinate monthly procurement of medications, including psychotropic drugs, to meet program needs.
• Establish and monitor monthly supply levels for IRC MHPSS Mobile Units.
• Support partner organisations in pharmaceutical management and procurement of medical aids such as wheelchairs and eyeglasses.
• Ensure proper storage, temperature control, and cold‑chain protocols, and manage inventory using pharmacy tracking systems.
• Oversee disposal of expired or damaged supplies and assist with donation assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
• Minimum of 3 years professional experience managing medicines, medical supplies, or a pharmaceutical warehouse.
• Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian; basic English is desirable.
• Proficiency in IT tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, for inventory recording, forecasting, and order planning.
