About the role
Join SQUAD’s Image Quality team to drive research, development, and qualification of optical components for smart‑home security and IoT camera systems. You will work in a dedicated R&D laboratory, supporting the full lifecycle of lens modules and illumination subsystems.
Key responsibilities
- Specify, select, and qualify optical components for camera modules.
- Evaluate the impact of optical elements on overall image quality.
- Develop and refine measurement methods for comprehensive image performance evaluation.
- Analyze, test, and qualify illumination systems.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to design and integrate illumination subsystems.
Required profile
- BS, MS or PhD in Optical Sciences, Optical Physics or a related field.
- Hands‑on experience with optical design tools (Zemax or Speos preferred; LightTools, ASAP, Code V a plus).
- Solid understanding of imaging optics, lightguides and illumination optics.
- Ability to learn and adopt new optical design tools and methods.
- Intermediate proficiency in written and spoken English (B1).
- Nice‑to‑have experience with MATLAB.
