Middle Android Software Engineer (Medical Apps)

About the role

We are seeking a self‑motivated Android Engineer to join our team. You will design, build, and deliver medical‑grade Android applications and SDKs in Kotlin and Java, focusing on internationalization and localization for multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality Android applications using Java, Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional and technology groups to define, design, and deploy new capabilities and software releases.
• Translate customer and market needs into efficient, secure mobile solutions and build a next‑generation cloud‑based platform.
• Scope work, break it into modules, estimate effort together with program management, and present concepts to customers, partners and leadership.
• Write clean, maintainable code, participate in daily triage meetings across US/MX time zones, troubleshoot performance issues, and contribute to code reviews.
• Stay updated with industry trends to keep our mobile solutions competitive.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of native Android development experience using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns and best practices.
• Experience with Web services, Cloud and API technologies.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, develop proofs‑of‑concept and deliver prototypes.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and ability to drive technical design.
• Experience launching products in FCC/FDA‑regulated industries is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
