Legal Counsel

About the role

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join SoftwareOne Ukraine’s legal team. The role supports a fast‑growing international IT services business by providing pragmatic legal advice on commercial and technology agreements, compliance matters and public tenders.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate and manage IT, software licensing, services, distribution and sublicensing contracts.
• Partner with Sales, Finance and Procurement to deliver risk‑based legal guidance.
• Support and improve compliance programmes, policies and internal governance frameworks.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and ensure adherence to applicable laws.
• Review tender and procurement documentation, assess risks and prepare legal materials.
• Coordinate with external parties such as regulators, auditors, banks and external counsel.
• Contribute to cross‑border projects delivering technology solutions and business initiatives.

Required profile

• Law degree (LL.M. or equivalent).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to identify, assess and mitigate legal and commercial risks, including procurement and cross‑border transactions.
• Comfort communicating with stakeholders across functions and countries.
• Graduate level or higher, fluent in Ukrainian and English (written and verbal).
