Lead DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and oversee our cloud infrastructure and continuous delivery strategy on Google Cloud. You will be responsible for the reliability, scalability, and security of production environments, delivering zero‑downtime operations and seamless deployment pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage highly available, fault‑tolerant infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Maintain and scale declarative infrastructure using Terraform, enforcing GitOps workflows with Atlantis.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
• Manage enterprise networking, service mesh (Istio mTLS, VirtualServices) and API gateways (Kong) for secure traffic.
• Implement telemetry, log aggregation, and alerting to ensure high availability and rapid incident response.
• Enforce security postures (VPC‑SC, IAM, Org Policies), manage secrets, maintain SOC2 compliance, and participate in on‑call rotation.

Required profile

• Senior/lead level experience operating production workloads on GCP and GKE, including Helm, Kustomize, and ArgoCD.
• Expert‑level Terraform skills with large‑scale GitOps workflows via Atlantis.
• Proven ability to design and maintain multi‑stage automated deployment pipelines.
• Strong proficiency with Istio service mesh and Kong API gateway.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise security, secret management (Auth0, Dex, ESO, SOPS) and IAM.
• Operational knowledge of Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL), BigQuery, Elasticsearch or ClickHouse.
• Upper‑intermediate spoken and written English.
