Field Coordinator – Kharkiv, Ukraine

About the role

The Field Coordinator will lead the implementation of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) programmes in Kharkiv, Ukraine, supporting communities affected by the conflict. Reporting to the Country Programme Manager, the role starts on 14 September 2026 for a one‑year mission.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise field activities related to WASH interventions, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
• Manage relationships with local partners, authorities and beneficiaries to facilitate project delivery.
• Monitor progress, collect data and produce regular reports for headquarters and donors.
• Oversee logistics, procurement and distribution of water and sanitation supplies.
• Ensure staff safety and compliance with humanitarian principles in a conflict‑affected environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in coordinating humanitarian programmes, preferably in the WASH sector.
• Ability to work in a high‑stress, conflict‑affected context and make timely decisions.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
