Country Director – Ukraine

About the role

The Country Director will lead Triangle Génération Humanitaire’s operations in Ukraine, overseeing emergency, rehabilitation and development programmes across water, sanitation, food security and psychosocial support. Reporting to the international senior management team, the Director will ensure the strategic alignment of activities with the organisation’s mission and the evolving humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic and operational leadership for all programmes in Ukraine.
• Manage relationships with Ukrainian authorities, local partners, donors and other humanitarian actors.
• Oversee budgeting, financial reporting and resource mobilisation to sustain programme delivery.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, donor requirements and international humanitarian standards.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, fostering staff development, safety and well‑being.
• Monitor and evaluate programme impact, adapting interventions to the changing security and displacement situation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in humanitarian programme management, preferably in conflict‑affected settings.
• Proven leadership of multi‑sectoral teams and large‑scale operations.
• Strong understanding of the Ukrainian humanitarian context and stakeholder landscape.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and advocacy skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an asset.
