Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join ROI360’s data collection platform team. You will help user acquisition and monetization managers gain insight into the value of their mobile marketing campaigns by building and scaling a distributed SaaS platform that aggregates cost and revenue data from over 100 marketing sources.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and enhance the data collection and processing pipeline.
• Solve complex, large‑scale problems and improve system performance, scalability and stability.
• Collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers to deliver customer‑focused features.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, monitor production systems and respond to incidents.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies to keep the platform robust and future‑proof.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Quick learner who can grasp new languages, frameworks and systems.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Go or Clojure.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, SQS).
• Hands‑on knowledge of Kubernetes, PostgreSQL and other relational databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and data‑warehouse tools (SQL, Athena, BigQuery).
• Understanding of large‑scale SaaS production services.
