Senior Technical Program Manager

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a Program Manager to support and help lead the development and delivery of transformative unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems. The role involves coordinating cross‑functional teams to bring complex hardware and software solutions to market.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complex software development projects, overseeing hardware and software engineering, legal, safety, finance, supply chain, and operations.
• Create cohesive project plans that track product deliverables across all program phases, resolve dependencies, evaluate risks, and communicate status to senior leadership.
• Solicit, aggregate, and track product and technical requirements from internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a single source of truth throughout development.
• Identify, catalog, and report on program risks, manage risk burndown, and keep stakeholders informed on mitigation progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex software development projects, budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
• Extensive proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong leadership, time‑management, organization, and team‑management abilities, capable of motivating and delegating effectively.
• Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of project‑management principles, risk identification, stakeholder communication, and decision‑making under pressure.
