Risk and Compliance Manager (For Nationals)

About the role

The Risk and Compliance Manager will strengthen risk management capacity across SCI Ukraine and its partner organisations, conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation plans, and provide high‑quality advisory on compliance and fraud investigations. The role involves regular travel to area offices and partners, and requires deep knowledge of Ukrainian legislation, SCI policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of risk & compliance capacity‑building programmes for staff and partner organisations.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and create risk management plans in coordination with senior leadership and programme teams.
• Perform spot checks, monitor internal controls and follow up on audit and investigation recommendations.
• Provide advisory services on local laws, donor regulations, SCI policies and humanitarian standards.
• Lead investigations into fraud and data‑protection incidents and ensure implementation of corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk management or compliance within a humanitarian or non‑profit context.
• Strong knowledge of Ukrainian laws, regulations and donor compliance requirements.
• Ability to travel regularly across Ukraine and work with diverse partner organisations.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a capacity to influence senior stakeholders.
