Stress Counselor Consultant – Remote (36‑month LTA)

About the role

UNICEF Ukraine seeks an experienced Stress Counselor to provide confidential, demand‑based psychosocial support to its staff during a prolonged emergency. Working remotely for a 36‑month Long‑Term Agreement, the consultant will deliver short‑term counselling, crisis response, and wellbeing workshops to strengthen staff resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely, confidential individual counselling to UNICEF personnel upon request.
• Deliver psychological first‑response and crisis support after critical incidents or acute stress events.
• Design and facilitate structured wellbeing workshops and preventive interventions.
• Coordinate with the National Staff Counsellor to ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals.
• Maintain confidentiality and culturally responsive support for a diverse workforce.

Required profile

• Professional background in psychology, counselling, or related mental‑health fields.
• Experience delivering individual and crisis counselling in high‑stress or humanitarian settings.
• Ability to work remotely and manage demand‑based caseloads independently.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality standards and culturally sensitive practices.
