MEAL Officer (Partnership) for nationals only

About the role

The MEAL Officer (Partnership) will support the implementation of Save the Children’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) system in emergency contexts, ensuring high‑quality data collection, analysis and reporting while working closely with national partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the SCI MEAL in Emergencies (MiE) Procedure and quality benchmarks.
• Develop and adapt standard monitoring tools in collaboration with the MEAL Coordinator and programme staff.
• Establish data flow mechanisms for collection, storage, analysis, interpretation and timely feedback to stakeholders.
• Lead ongoing monitoring activities, conduct field visits and provide structured feedback to programme teams and partners.
• Design and implement qualitative and quantitative assessments as needed.
• Provide training, capacity‑building and mentorship to team members and partner MEAL staff.
• Undertake data quality assurance, identify errors and recommend improvements.
• Liaise with partners to build trust, ensure consistent use of MEAL tools and promote localization principles.

Required profile

• National candidate with experience in monitoring, evaluation and accountability within humanitarian or development programmes.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with partners and to mentor staff on MEAL processes.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and learning.
