Shelter and Settlement Coordinator

About the role

The Shelter and Settlement Coordinator will support DRC’s Shelter, WASH and Infrastructure (SWI) response in Ukraine, ensuring displaced and conflict‑affected populations have safe and dignified living conditions. Based in Kyiv, the role involves regular travel to DRC area offices in Kharkiv, Dnipro, Mykolaiv and Sumy.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate shelter and settlement activities across the country, aligning with DRC’s SWI strategy.
• Work closely with area offices to plan, implement and monitor shelter interventions.
• Ensure that shelter programmes meet safety, adequacy and dignity standards.
• Collect and analyse data for reporting to donors and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between field teams, headquarters and partners.

Required profile

• Experience in humanitarian shelter or settlement programmes.
• Ability to travel regularly within Ukraine.
• Strong understanding of displacement‑related challenges.
