Senior Quality Engineer – 6‑month contract

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Quality Engineer for a 6‑month assignment to join a cross‑functional Agile team. You will combine hands‑on automation engineering with test analysis, quality advocacy and continuous improvement, ensuring high‑quality software throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Create and execute automated and manual functional, integration, regression, exploratory and non‑functional tests.
• Analyse requirements and acceptance criteria to guarantee testability and alignment with quality objectives.
• Define test strategies, test cases and automation coverage based on business requirements and risk assessments.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback.
• Investigate, manage and support defect resolution in collaboration with development teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing quality‑focused input during planning, refinement, delivery and retrospectives.
• Champion shift‑left testing, best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in web and API test automation.
• Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript and/or Java.
• Proven experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks using established design patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with functional, regression, exploratory, integration and API testing in Agile environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems and automated test execution processes.
