Senior ML & AI Engineer

About the role

SPD Technology is seeking a Senior ML & AI Engineer to strengthen the PitchBook platform’s data‑driven capabilities. The role focuses on building generative AI and natural‑language processing solutions that turn massive unstructured data into actionable insights for investment professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and fine‑tune large language models and generative AI pipelines using transformer architectures.
• Implement NLP workflows with PyTorch, Scikit‑Learn, and SpaCy, and create embedding‑based pipelines for high‑dimensional data.
• Integrate modern toolkits such as LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith to automate workflows and build intelligent agents.
• Deploy vector databases for efficient similarity search and real‑time analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a Scrum‑based Agile environment and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in all team meetings while enjoying a flexible work schedule.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in machine learning, AI, and NLP.
• Strong motivation to succeed and ability to influence long‑term technical direction.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
