Senior C++/Python Software Development Engineer

About the role

Jabil is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer with strong expertise in C++ and Python to work on complex networking systems. The role involves developing firmware/software for routers and switches, creating automated tests, and collaborating with hardware and QA teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C++/Python code for networking devices, including data plane and control plane protocols.
• Design and implement automated test frameworks using Python and Pytest for data path validation.
• Participate in SW/HW bring‑up, integration, and debugging of networking hardware.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure robust routing, forwarding, and load‑balancing implementations.

Required profile

• Proven experience with networking devices such as routers and switches.
• Strong background in C++ and advanced Python programming.
• Hands‑on experience with TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, LACP, ECMP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, RIP, IS‑IS).
• Familiarity with embedded Linux environments and version control (Git/GitHub).
