Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join PwC’s accounting and tax compliance team in Kyiv. The role involves supporting multinational clients with day‑to‑day accounting and tax matters, and requires strong knowledge of Ukrainian accounting standards and tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate junior team members, delegate tasks and review their work.
• Review accounting databases during monthly, quarterly and annual closing periods.
• Prepare financial statements, VAT returns and corporate income tax declarations.
• Draft reports, memoranda and client communications in English and Ukrainian.
• Analyse provisions of the Ukrainian Tax Code and support tax review projects.
• Assist the manager in providing ongoing accounting and tax support to clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of accounting and taxation experience in Ukraine, with at least 2 years in a senior‑level role.
• Degree in Accounting, Audit, Taxation, Finance or Economics; ACCA/CIMA/DipIFR certifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the Ukrainian accounting and tax system, including corporate income tax and VAT.
• Proficiency in English and Ukrainian (written and spoken).
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
