Programme Management Officer (Mine Action Operations)

About the role

The Programme Management Officer will support UNMAS Ukraine in delivering the Mine Action programme. Reporting to the Senior Mine Action Advisor, the officer will help design, implement and evaluate strategies that reduce the humanitarian impact of explosive ordnance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate the Mine Action programme strategy, resource mobilisation plan, work plan and budget.
• Monitor and analyse programme and project performance, identify issues and initiate corrective actions.
• Research, analyse and present information from diverse sources to inform policy and programme decisions.
• Coordinate policy development, conduct evaluations and prepare research studies.
• Design and manage surveys and data‑collection tools, analyse results and report on programme evolution.
• Prepare written outputs such as strategy documents, background papers, analyses and report sections.
• Provide substantive support for meetings, conferences and consultative processes, including agenda setting and document preparation.

Required profile

• Specialised experience in programme/project management within mine action or related humanitarian fields.
• Proven ability to develop strategies, work plans and budgets.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with experience in data collection and interpretation.
• Excellent coordination and liaison abilities with UN entities, government counterparts and partners.
