Procurement Associate – Kyiv

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking a Procurement Associate to support its sustainable livestock and peatland restoration project in Kyiv, Ukraine. The role will ensure that all procurement activities are carried out efficiently, transparently and in line with UNDP policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement plans for project components, including goods, services and works.
• Prepare tender documents, conduct market analyses and manage the full tendering cycle.
• Evaluate bids, negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with UNDP procurement guidelines.
• Monitor contract performance, track deliveries and manage supplier relationships.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, reports and documentation for audit purposes.
• Collaborate with project teams, finance and logistics to align procurement with budgetary and operational needs.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Relevant experience in procurement, preferably within international development or environmental projects.
• Familiarity with UN procurement regulations and best practices.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Ukrainian is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of procurement processes and tendering procedures.
• Experience with procurement management software or e‑procurement platforms.
• Ability to conduct market research and supplier assessments.
• Negotiation and contract management skills.
