Payroll Accountant – Tax & HR Services

About the role

PwC is looking for a Payroll Accountant to join its Tax Payroll Services team in Kyiv. You will advise clients on payroll‑related tax matters, ensure compliance with Ukrainian legislation and support the automation of payroll processes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise payroll consultants across multiple client engagements.
• Automate payroll programs using tools such as Alteryx and Workday, and identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Consult clients on payroll and HR legislation, and maintain HR administration records.
• Perform payroll calculations, including salaries, sick leave, vacations, unpaid leave and civil‑contract remuneration.
• Process payroll payment orders and prepare tax and payroll reports.
• Analyse HR documents for compliance with Ukrainian regulations and set up new HR/payroll projects.
• Collaborate with programmers to adapt payroll software to project needs.

Required profile

• University degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll calculation, payroll tax reporting or HR administration, preferably in an outsourcing environment.
• Experience with automation projects; familiarity with Workday is a plus.
• Intermediate or higher English proficiency.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities, and willingness to work under pressure.
