Partnership Finance Coordinator

About the role

The Finance Partnership Coordinator is a senior position within the International Rescue Committee’s Finance Department. You will lead financial oversight of the Partnerships Department’s sub‑awardees, ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and strong financial management across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight and quality assurance of sub‑awardee financial management.
• Supervise the Finance Partnership Manager in daily execution of financial oversight tasks.
• Lead capacity‑building initiatives to strengthen partners’ financial and administrative systems.
• Review sub‑awardee budgets during proposal stages and conduct pre‑award due diligence.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure audit readiness at all times.
• Act as the senior focal point for financial and compliance matters, offering technical guidance and escalation support.
• Identify capacity gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities; develop and implement tailored financial improvement plans.
• Monitor progress against improvement plans, escalating significant risks when necessary.
