Middle Next.js Developer

About the role

We are looking for a disciplined, highly autonomous Middle Next.js Developer to build and ship product features for one of our core D2C subscription products. You will own features end‑to‑end across a TypeScript monorepo that includes a Next.js App Router client, a Fastify + Payload CMS API on PostgreSQL, and Cloudflare Workers at the edge.

Key responsibilities

• Develop features across the Next.js client and Fastify + Payload backend following Feature‑Sliced Design conventions.
• Ship changes behind feature flags and A/B experiments, fully localized for all supported locales.
• Integrate third‑party providers such as billing, email/CRM, and analytics via REST APIs and webhooks.
• Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests and conduct thorough self‑reviews before code review.
• Optimize page and endpoint performance, including rendering, caching, database queries, and bundle size.
• Apply secure development practices and follow observability standards with structured logging, metrics, and alerts.

Required profile

• 2+ years of commercial React experience, including at least 1 year with Next.js (App Router, Server Components, route handlers).
• Node.js backend experience on a typed HTTP framework (Fastify, Nest, or Express) with PostgreSQL and REST API design.
• Hands‑on with modern client stack: TanStack Query, Zustand, React Hook Form + Zod, Tailwind CSS, and a component library such as HeroUI, MUI, or shadcn/ui.
• Experience with a code‑first headless CMS on PostgreSQL (e.g., Payload).
• Proficiency in testing (Cypress or Playwright, Vitest or Jest) and CI/CD workflows.
• Daily use of AI development tools with full ownership of generated code quality and security.
