MEAL Assistant – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning

About the role

The MEAL Assistant supports the International Rescue Committee in Ukraine by establishing and managing client feedback mechanisms, ensuring timely responses, and assisting with monitoring and evaluation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and classify client feedback via hotlines, suggestion boxes, email, field visits and focus groups, updating the Jira CRA system daily.
• Support the CRA Officer in closing feedback loops, preparing field visit materials, and promoting feedback channels.
• Aggregate and dis‑aggregate feedback data by gender, age, status, sector and risk level, presenting trends to program teams.
• Assist senior MEAL staff with field data collection, analysis, and updating the client tracker and IPTT.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Rights, International Law, Development Studies or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year experience in Client Responsiveness & Accountability within humanitarian or development projects.
• Experience with hotline operations, feedback collection, and working with diverse communities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with Zendesk, Jira or similar CRM platforms.
