International Lawyer / Mobile Justice Team Lead

About the role

Global Rights Compliance is seeking an International Lawyer to lead its Mobile Justice Team (MJT) in Ukraine. The role involves providing high‑level legal expertise to support the Office of the Prosecutor General and Regional Prosecutor Offices in building complex command‑level cases on international crimes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Mobile Justice Team, ensuring alignment with international legal standards.
• Provide strategic legal advice and policy guidance to Ukrainian justice actors.
• Assist in the investigation, documentation, and prosecution of international crimes.
• Develop and institutionalise best practices for handling command‑level cases.
• Prepare analytical reports, legal memoranda, and briefing materials for senior stakeholders.
• Facilitate capacity‑building workshops and training sessions for local prosecutors and investigators.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in law (LL.M. or equivalent) with specialization in international criminal law or human rights law.
• Proven experience working on complex legal matters in conflict or post‑conflict environments.
• Familiarity with Ukrainian legal procedures and the structure of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, research, and drafting abilities.
• Ability to operate effectively under pressure and in rapidly changing security contexts.
