Grants Officer

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Grants Officer to join its Grants Department in Kyiv. The role supports efficient grant and project cycle management, donor engagement, and business development, acting as a key liaison across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with research and gather information for proposal design, donor engagement and business development.
• Track donor engagement opportunities, pipelines and submissions.
• Develop high‑quality donor communication materials such as fact sheets, capacity statements and human‑interest stories.
• Facilitate project design meetings, take notes, track action points and share updates.
• Contribute to proposal components including write‑ups, frameworks, budgets and annexes.
• Participate in quality review of final proposal packages.
• Track grant milestones, financial allocations and timelines to support strategic decisions.
• Maintain and update the Opportunity Tracking & Implementation System (OTIS) and online filing systems.
• Support revision processes, amendments and donor communication under the supervision of the Grants Manager.

Required profile

• Experience in grant administration or related fundraising activities.
• Strong organizational abilities to track milestones, budgets and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal teams and external donors.
