About the role

BairesDev is seeking a seasoned Google Cloud Platform Architect to lead AI‑driven mainframe modernization projects. You will transform legacy COBOL systems into modern Java, Go, or .NET applications on GCP, working closely with client stakeholders in a consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and drive application modernization initiatives, re‑architecting legacy and mainframe‑class systems for GCP.
• Design and implement data architecture solutions on GCP, including BigQuery and analytics pipelines.
• Communicate with client stakeholders to convey the business importance of legacy systems and modernization outcomes.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams within a fully GCP‑based environment.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, specifically with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven track record in application modernization and re‑architecting legacy systems into Java, Go, or .NET.
• Strong background in data architecture on GCP, especially BigQuery and pipeline design.
• Consulting or professional services experience with client‑facing delivery.
• Familiarity with AI engineering practices, requirements gathering, and test‑driven design.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
