Facilitator – Rural Assistance and Data Collection

About the role

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is seeking a full‑time Facilitator to support the implementation of its rural assistance programmes in Ukraine. Based in the Kharkiv Field Office, the incumbent will coordinate beneficiary data collection, verification and distribution across Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, helping vulnerable households recover from the impacts of the war.

Key responsibilities

• Support Phase 3 (Assistance to Rural Households affected by Remnants of war) and Phase 1 (Prioritisation of focal areas) of the FAO programme.
• Identify and assess damage to agricultural production in rural communities in coordination with local hromadas.
• Prepare and adapt the KOBO registration form for beneficiary data collection in collaboration with the cash‑voucher team and MEAL unit.
• Train local authority focal points on KOBO usage and household identification procedures.
• Conduct joint household identification and verification with hromada officials in prioritized settlements.
• Ensure accurate data entry, validation and reporting for the distribution of assistance.

Required profile

• Experience in humanitarian or agricultural development programmes, preferably in conflict‑affected settings.
• Proven ability to work closely with local authorities, community leaders and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for data verification.
• Willingness to travel within Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
