Director of Strategic Development – Ukraine

About the role

Ecolog International is looking for a senior executive to lead the development and execution of its Ukraine strategy. The role will drive growth across humanitarian, defence and reconstruction operations, working closely with senior leadership and a wide range of partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to expand Ecolog’s operations throughout Ukraine.
• Build and leverage a network of contacts in NGOs, donor governments and supranational bodies (EU, NATO, World Bank, etc.) to identify and secure project opportunities.
• Monitor upcoming tenders from government, defence agencies and NGOs, and coordinate bid preparation.
• Establish on‑the‑ground capabilities, including partnerships for warehousing, logistics and other client‑specific needs.
• Collaborate with Ecolog’s bid, technical and specialist teams to design and propose tailored solutions.
• Represent Ecolog at a high profile with Ukrainian partners, donors and international stakeholders.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of Ukraine’s defence, government and humanitarian market structures and processes.
• Minimum five years of senior‑level experience working with foreign governmental, humanitarian or defence organisations such as EU entities, NATO, USAID, DOS, FCDO, World Bank or EBRD.
• Proven background in sectors such as humanitarian aid, post‑conflict relief, defence services, large‑scale logistics or critical infrastructure.
• Strong strategic, business development, commercial and diplomatic capabilities.
