Communications and External Relations Associate (Kyiv)

About the role

The Communications and External Relations Associate will be based in Kyiv and will support high‑profile donor‑focused communications activities for UNFPA Ukraine. Reporting to the Communications Specialist, the role ensures donor‑funded programmes are communicated effectively and comply with visibility requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning and implementation of donor‑focused communications and visibility activities in coordination with programme, communications, and external relations teams.
• Coordinate production of donor‑facing communication products such as stories, press releases, newsletters, factsheets, multimedia content, and visibility materials.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with donor branding, visibility, and communications requirements across programme implementation.
• Maintain donor communications tracking systems, dashboards, and databases, and contribute to donor reporting and external relations products.
• Collaborate with programme teams, implementing partners, consultants, and service providers to align communications with donor agreements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to UNFPA’s mission and values, with a focus on ethical and principled work.
• Ability to work transparently, manage resources responsibly, and deliver high‑impact results in a rapidly changing development and funding landscape.
• Experience in donor communications, visibility, and external relations is desirable.
