Back End Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Back End Software Engineer to join a cross‑functional team that builds and operates digital services for hoteliers and partners. You will own the full product lifecycle, from design and development to deployment and ongoing operation, delivering high‑performance cloud‑native solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and operate backend software in an AWS environment.
• Take end‑to‑end ownership of applications, from conception through production support.
• Build resilient, high‑throughput microservices using Java 11+, Spring Boot and cloud design patterns.
• Implement and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs for client and server side consumption.
• Collaborate on automation, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Research and evaluate new technologies together with domain and enablement teams.
• Ensure security best practices are embedded throughout development.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 11 or newer) and the Spring ecosystem.
• Experience with AWS services, cloud‑native architecture and IaC tooling.
• Hands‑on experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Solid knowledge of relational (SQL) and non‑relational (NoSQL) databases.
• Familiarity with microservices, CI/CD and automated testing.
• Basic understanding of AI tools such as Kiro and their integration in software pipelines.
